Not an issue for me as unless a jacket reaches your feet you still need waterproof trousers anyway but a shame that the original selling point has gone.

My only criticism, and it is a personal one, is that I like a lot of pockets and an extra pocket (like the map pocket) could easily have been duplicated on the right hand side of the jacket. What a pleasure to get a jacket that is 100% waterproof,and so well made very impressed with Berghaus,also very comfortable,wish i had done this sooner. Its high breathability means that it won't get too stuffy inside, as vapours can easily find their way out through the textile.
