I would strongly recommend this book to any one who has a twin because it’s kind of a story of how you can still be twins even though your twin is somewhere else.

The storyline was, as I said, predictable, but I am not a pre-teen and so in that context the predictability doesn’t matter. What I liked about this book: I liked having the two sides to the story, both Ruby and Garnet sharing their thoughts and opinions on the different events in the book. I do understand that no one could be like a mother to them, because your mother gave birth to you and knows every silly detail about you.The 103 third parties who use cookies on this service do so for their purposes of displaying and measuring personalized ads, generating audience insights, and developing and improving products.

Clare's, and is keen for the two of them to go ahead and audition, even though Garnet declines and their father doesn't agree. But when Dad finds a new girlfriend everything in the twins’ lives is turned upside down–new home, new school, new everything. The book showed the pain, rejection and jealously Ruby was feeling as well as the fear of the unknown both the twins were feeling due to Garnet being sent to a different school to Ruby. As I have read this book 11 times I could probaly tell you a lot about it so dont even hesitate reading this brilliant book it amazing in the way it is told and how emotianally it is told which in the end always turns out to be funny. Throughout the entire book it's clear that Richard is going through a sort-of early-onset mid-life crisis.

Ruby and Garnet love each other very much and starts writing about themselves and events from their life in a book found at home, so that when in the future they become famous they can look at it. Ruby and Garnet are ten-year-old identical twins living with their father and grandmother since their mother, Opal, died. Because of that comparison in my head I didn’t feel this book shone as much as it could have; if I hadn’t already read Vicky Angel I may have enjoyed this more. This is a book that maybe mainly appeals to girls, but also towards chikdren who may be experiencing divorce.
