Description

I bought these as we are heading into cold winter biking season and needed a pair of sturdy waterproof boots to survive winter biking in Scotland. When it comes to stability, the boot allows for a fair amount of lateral rotation and flexing at the ankle which, again, means they’re super comfortable out of the box, but for hard off-roading I’d want something a bit stiffer. For when the ground gets rough the sole has ample tread that looks like it can handle the hardiest of terrain. Unfortunately I landed on the ground with a spiral fracture of my tibia and fibula, but I strongly believe that if I’d worn MX boots during this fall my injury would’ve been more severe.

So far I’ve toured in them for about 5000 kms through Europe and took them with me to the GS Trophy in Mongolia where I was invited as a guest. Despite looking chunky, getting them on is easy; the lining is soft and supple and the waterproof gusset has plenty of give to let you slide your feet in easily.Fill in your details below to join the weekly Adventure Bike Rider Bulletin and get the latest adventure motorcycling news delivered right to your inbox. But Forma has a very loyal following of bikers who are fans of both the quality and robustness of their footwear, but also of its comfort.

With a fully waterproof Drytex membrane included, your feet will stay dry in harsh conditions, and the sole offers a great compromise of on-road performance and off-road traction. If you are a rider that mostly stands up when you ride, we would recommend the Forma Terra boots for durability. Slide your feet inside the polymer, memory foam inner and overtime the padding will mould to their shape for a comfortable, supported environment.

I still think they are super-comfortable for walking in and they are the perfect boots for paved roads and cruisy gravels. They have been all over Asia including high Himalayas and now doing the rounds in Western Australia and I am still using the original adventure boots.

But the boots in my size are definitely too high and massiv at the front as well as too stiff, so I wouldn’t be able to manage gear shifting quickly and comfortable. I had to adjust my gear lever, I've put it at its highest setting, as I literally couldn't fit this chunky thing under to change up gear, (on a triumph Tiger). Conclusion: The Forma Adventure boots area perfect for those wanting good looking, adventure-styled boots with great on-road and adequate off-road performance. These are by far the comfiest boots iv ever owned - I have both the short and tall pair as was that impressed and wanted the taller for enduro.

So far these boots seem a good product, But I have only done a couple of journeys and not in the rain or fallen off.

To prevent further wear and tear the boots have double stitching in critical areas to keep them from coming apart. We see way more ADV riders get injured in plastic off-road boots than the soft adventure/touring style boots. I should probably mention about toes, heel and ankle protection are all similar to the Terras and most importantly they are also still waterproof. The liner keeps rain out while dissipating moisture so as you become warm, the boots don't stick and become uncomfortable.
